10 MILER-CYPRESS CREEK NATURAL AREA TO OCEAN TO LAKE TRAIL

FAST PACED – Moderate difficulty – if you aren’t experienced doing 10 mile hikes at a good clip, this hike is not for you.
PLEASE NOTE – THIS HIKE IS ON SUNDAY. Our chapter does 2nd Saturday of the month trail maintenance so we are doing this hike on the second Sunday. I encourage you to sign up for the maintenance scheduled for March 8.
Join Tom on this 10 mile hike to the lake and back. We follow the yellow trail out of Cypress Creek Management Area trail head and hook up with the Florida Tail, cross over Cypress Creek and have lunch/snack at the covered picnic area near the Lake. The trail is probably dry, but I will be out scouting it the week before and will report back here. There is a stretch that is in direct sun, so please wear a hat, bring 2 liters of water (you can not hike without sufficient water), and a snack! Hikers will be required to stay with the group (we lost one here last year and it scared the hell out of me…lol).
