We will hike loops 1 and 2 (see map) for approximately 6 miles. This is a hot and strenuous hike, but worth it! There is little to no shade on the trail so a hat and plenty of water is a must! No water, no hike! So be prepared!

**NOTE:** The **small game hunting season** has begun, so it’s advised to wear bright clothing! Expect the trail to have overgrown vegetation, standing water and/or muddy trails. Potential guests will have to register on Meetup and RSVP separately.

Let’s meet at **7:15 a.m.** at the DuPuis Pavilion (otherwise known as the Governor’s House) grass parking lot. We will start hiking no later than **7:30 a.m**. Give yourself extra time since the road into the park is a gravel road with ruts and holes that will slow you down. We start on time, so please don’t be late or you will be hiking by yourself!

**READ! Directions within the park:**
**Do not rely on Google GPS! See Map for entrance to Gate 1.** Once you turn into Gate 1, **do not stop** at the hunters cabin, just keep going straight on the gravel road approximately 1.5 miles. You will pass the Family Campground on the left. Keep going until you come to a small sign that says “**Day Use Picnic Area**” and turn left. Keep driving until you see the grass parking lot and pavilion.
