Big Cypress Wildlife Management Area – 15 Mile Hike

November 18, 2023 @ 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

***We will be hiking at a moderate pace*** around the 15-mile loop, we will hike to Nobles campsite where we will take a break to cool down and have a quick snack. After the break we will continue to Panther Campsite where we will take a break to cool down and have lunch. After the break, we will hike back to our cars. It is going to be hot and physically challenging, but a lot of fun too.

*****Expect to encounter overgrown vegetation, mud and standing water on this hike*****

The hike will around 15-Mile hike of strenuous difficulty, so you know what to bring, plenty of water (3+ Liters), snacks, etc. to hold you over for a day hike.

***Let’s meet at 7:00AM at the trailhead parking lot***, the meeting place coordinates are **(26.169694, -81.072757)**. ***We will start hiking no later than 7:15AM,*** restrooms are available on the rest area just west of the trail head parking area.

*****Gloria may do a shorter hike, if the temps are cooler*****

**HOW TO GET THERE:**

Take I-95 or Turnpike south to I-75 West (Alligator Alley, this is a toll road). Travel west on I-75 to the REST AREA at Mile Marker 62- 63
Exit I-75. The trail head parking area will be on the right of the rest area.
**The coordinates for our meeting place are (26.169694, -81.072757).**
