Firefest 2023 is being held on Saturday October 21 at the Kimbell Education Center in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The Loxahatchee Chapter of the FTA will have a booth. Volunteers will be asked to introduce participants to our group and hiking in Florida. we will have brochures to hand out as well as a couple of games for all ages.
I am looking for volunteers to help set up from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm, staff the booth from 1 pm until 6:00 pm and disassemble from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. If you are available and want to help out, please sign up and indicate the hours you can volunteer. I will provide a schedule and entrance pass to all volunteers before the event.
I am asking volunteers to bring a bag of individually wrapped hard candies or trinkets to hand out. NO CHOCOLATE PLEASE.
Please wear an FTA t-shirt and/or hike outfit, bring a chair and drinks/snacks for yourself. There will be food and drink available to purchase at this event.
