CREW Bird Rookery Swamp Trail

Let’s hike the CREW Bird Rookery in Naples! This is a very nice trail with lots of wildlife and some shade. Expect to encounter alligators, a bit of standing water, and some overgrown vegetation. I have limited the number of attendees to 10 on this hike.

We will be hiking at a moderate pace over the 12 mile loop. We will take a break for a snack and to cool down.

**Let’s meet at 7:15AM at the trailhead parking lot**, the meeting place coordinates are **(26.312013, -81.633570)**. **We will start hiking no later than 7:30AM.**

Please bring at least 2.5 liters of water and a snack for our break.

**We will be moving at a moderate pace so if you are not an experienced hiker capable of moving fast, this is not the hike for you**.

Directions:
Take Alligator Alley (I-75 north) to SR-29 (exit 80).
Go North on SR-29 to Oil Well Road CR 858, turn left.
Go West on Oil Well Road to Immokalee Road, turn right.
Go North on Immokalee Road to Shady Hollow Blvd., turn left
On Shady Hollow Blvd (Dirt Road), go West until you see the trailhead on the right side of the road.

I was able to find this on my GPS last year. I use Apple Maps.
