Firefest ’24 in Jonathan Dickinson State Park – Booth Volunteers needed

Firefest 2024 is being held on Saturday October 19 at the Kimbell Education Center in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The Loxahatchee Chapter of the FTA will have a booth. Volunteers will be asked to introduce participants to our group and hiking in Florida. We will have brochures to hand out as well as a couple of games for all ages.

I am looking for volunteers to help out in 2 hour shifts (more or less is fine as well) between 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm and disassemble from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. If you are available to help out, please sign up and indicate the hours you can volunteer. We will provide an entrance pass to all volunteers before the event. This will get you access to the event, but if you want to participate in the rides and games, you will need to purchase tickets through the Jonathan Dickinson Web Site on your own: https://friendsofjdsp.org/firefest

I am asking volunteers to bring a bag of individually wrapped hard candies or trinkets to hand out to the kids. NO CHOCOLATE PLEASE.

Please wear an FTA t-shirt and/or hike styled outfit, bring a chair and drinks/snacks for yourself. There will be food and drink available to purchase at this event. YAY Food Trucks!
