Hickory Hammock Wildlife Management Area 9-Miles

Let do a fun hike on the Hickory Hammock trail, we will be hiking for about 4.5-Miles to the main campground, where we will take a break to cool down and have a snack. After our main break, we will hike back to our cars. Most of the trail is under shade with beautiful oaks and pine.

***Let’s meet at 7:30 AM at the Trailhead off US-98.*** We will start hiking no later than **7:45 AM**. Please use the GPS coordinates (**27.40247, -81.16881)** to find the trailhead, you can miss the entrance very easily.

**NOTE:** We start on time, so please don’t be late or you will be hiking by yourself! Potential guests will have to register on Meetup and RSVP separately.

We will be hiking at a moderate pace, and will be taking breaks along the way as needed. There are no restroom facilities at the trailhead, but the campground has some toilets.

Sunscreen
Extra pair of shoes (after hike)
