Monthly Chapter Meeting, everyone is welcome

Join us for our monthly Chapter Meeting. 3:00 to 3:30pm is our social half hour with light snacks followed by a guest speaker and business meeting. We meet in the Okeeheelee Nature Center at Okeeheelee Park.

Our guest speaker is CJ McCartney.

CJ McCartney is an Environmental Steward. Along with her training to become a Master Gardener, she started taking a variety of botanical and horticulture classes as well as seminars to supplement her formal Harvard education in public policy and urban management. She is the Master Gardener in Residence at the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden. She also works with Environmental Resource Management and serves on several Boards and committee’s.

CJ McCartney’s Presentation Topic is, From the Trail to Your Landscape

This talk focuses on reimagining your landscape and public spaces to restore biodiversity while reconnecting habitats with nature-inspired ideas. Translating the beautiful meadows and wildflowers from nature’s trails to your own garden and community spaces. This not only enhances our lives, it also makes a huge impact on wildlife, butterflies and pollinators — one yard, one street, one community at a time.
