Monthly Chapter Meeting – Okeeheelee Park Nature Center

We meet at 6:pm to visit and catch up with light refreshments. At 6:30 we will start the meeting. The public is welcome to join us at our meetings.

This month our guest speaker is Park Services Specialist Sara Luering. Some of you might know Sara. She’s a fellow FTA member and Park Specialist At Jonathan Dickinson State Park.

At 10,500 acres, Jonathan Dickinson State Park has a lot to offer, backpacking, camping, hiking, biking, kayaking and you can even climb an observation tower. The park is full of recreational activities. Sara will be presenting to us how the park preserves the environment and supports 350,000+ annual visitors.

Follow the signs to the Nature Center all the way to the back of this huge park. There will be an updated list of what fruit and/or vegetables is needed for the resident critters.
