**Looking for a challenge?**
Join Amy for a rucking event, where you’ll challenge yourself with a fast pace (3-4 MPH / 16 to 20 minute mile pace), build strength and endurance, and enjoy the great outdoors while making new friends! Typically you would wear a weighted backpack, but this is NOT required. However, you will need to carry at least 2 liters of water and maybe a snack.
We will meet at 7:00am at Arthur Marshall on 441 in Boynton Beach – drive to the back Parking Lot and we will walk along the canal. Time permitting, we can walk on the grassy trails too.
**There is a gate and an admission fee of $5.00 per vehicle. The gate opens at 5 am. Packs on and moving no later than 7:15am. Please be prompt.**
We shouldn’t get our feet wet; you will get wet, but not from the trail. So bring a towel to wipe the sweat!
**The heck is rucking?**
Rucking is a form of physical exercise that involves walking or hiking with a weighted backpack (rucksack). It is derived from military training, where soldiers often carry heavy packs for long distances. The term “ruck” is short for “rucksack,” which is a type of backpack.
Rucking is a full-body workout that builds strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. It is an effective way to increase calorie burn, develop functional strength, and improve posture. Rucking can be done by individuals of varying fitness levels and can be modified to suit specific training goals or needs. IE, start light and work your way up to a heavier load.
