National Trails Day on the OTLHT

Let’s get together for American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day. We will meet at the Cypress Creek Natural Area parking lot and hike the 5 miles round trip to the overpass. This is a beautiful section of the OTLHT but as many of you know, the trail along the overpass is always littered with trash. We will be picking up the trash to keep the trail free of the litter.
Bring plenty of water to drink to stay hydrated. Sunscreen and wearing a hat will help protect you from the elements. Bring gloves to protect your hands when picking up the trash. I will have trash bags but feel free to bring your own.
We will start hiking at 8. I suggest arriving earlier to get signed in and ready to start hiking at 8am. I will be arriving at 7:30
