SUMMARY:John Prince Park Walk
DESCRIPTION:A spirited one-hour walk for exercise to get the heart rate up! If you keep up with Paul you will walk a little over 3 miles in a hour… but if you are not up for it you can slow to your own pace and shorten the distance. \nReminder: Dogs are not allowed on our outings. \nContact Paul Cummings\, 561-596-4423. \nPublic/Leisure \nThis is a BIG park with several entrances. Use the entrance on Congress Avenue between Lantana Road and 6th Ave S. Go east to the first intersection and make a right. In about 50 yards turn left into the first parking lot you come to. The numerous times I have been to this walk our group has been the only ones in the parking lot.

SUMMARY:West Palm Beach GreenMarket
DESCRIPTION:The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is “Seasoned to Perfection” and is celebrating 30 seasons of success!  \nThe famed market\, named the “Best Farmers Market” in the U.S. by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice for three years in a row (in 2021\, 2022 and 2023)\, opened in October as the largest market in its history with 130+ vendors. Vendors sell various products\, including fresh fruits and vegetables\, coffees and teas\, flowers and plants\, homemade specialty items\, desserts and treats and so much more.  \nThe West Palm Beach GreenMarket’s mission is to provide the community with seasonal access to locally grown fresh fruits\, vegetables\, plants\, and agricultural products. The market supports the southeast Florida agricultural community and stimulates agricultural development\, particularly in Palm Beach County\, by providing an outlet for locally grown crops and specialty products.   \nIn addition to its “Best Farmers Market” ranking\, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket has also been featured in The Boston Globe and named the No. 1 greenmarket in Florida by Cooking Light magazine. In 2021\, the GreenMarket was recognized by VISIT FLORIDA with a prestigious silver Flagler Award at the tourism marketing cooperative’s annual Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism. \nDuring the GreenMarket\, parking is available in the City’s public garages: Clematis\, Banyan\, City Center\, Sapodilla\, and Evernia. The Banyan and Evernia garages are closest to the event and are subject to the City’s all-day weekend flat rate of $5. The City Center\, Clematis\, and Sapodilla garages are free during market hours\, with current parking rates in effect afterward. Those interested in arriving by boat can also take advantage of the City’s free public docks. The Clematis Street Dock is the closest dock to the market.  \nWeekly Workshops—Check out wpb.org/greenmarket for more info on the GreenMarket’s weekly workshops. These are designed to teach attendees market-related skills in a fun and social setting. SUMMARY:The Teachings of the Medicine Wheel 1 day Intensive class
DESCRIPTION:**The Teachings of the Native American Medicine Wheel presented by Grandfather Rick McBride (Mixed blood Cherokee) is a 1-day intensive\, limited to 5 participants. $75 deposit REQUIRED. Zelle payment to Cynthia Mong at 954-270-8939 (preferred) or https://paypal.me/iwt2016**\nThe Medicine Wheel is perhaps the single most profound “life tool” known in the ancient Americas. Nobody can say for sure just how old it is. But we do know it has survived into modern times for one reason; it works. It is at once a mirror\, reflecting your true nature back to you\, and a guide providing you with a clear path to get where you want to be. It is fluid\, dynamic\, accessible\, completely relevant\, and capable of helping you create a high-quality life. \nThe teaching of the original Medicine Wheel came to me from Heyemeohsts Storm\, a Cheyenne elder\, over 30 years ago. You will not find these teachings in any long-drawn out (expensive) workshop\, or Euro-centric book. You will be proficient in creating an effective Wheel that will yield immediate answers and guidance\, as well as start you on a journey of learning the Wheel on deeper levels\, at your pace and capacity. You need no previous knowledge of Red Road teachings to benefit from this incredible tool that has guided indigenes for literally thousands of years. \n$175 includes 45-page manual; for more details follow the link below:\nhttps://iwtstudio.org\nTo register\, RSVP on this page and make payment of deposit by 9/17. \nhttp://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/9/0/c/event_98507372.jpeg \nRick McBride is mixedblood Tsalagi (Cherokee) who has walked the Red Road for some 40 years. He was named Cante Lute (Schan-tay Lou-tuh) by the spirits through his sundance chief\, which means Red Heart. He is an 19 year sundancer and has been traditionally trained and authorized to lead ceremonies\, such as inipi (purification lodge)\, prayer with the Canunpah (Pipe)\, drum healing and so forth. He has been publicly teaching these ways for over 18 years now. Workshops and lectures are one way to learn from the wisdom of Indian Country. Ceremony brings this knowledge to life. Combined\, teaching and ceremony render practical guidance to everyday living. And so\, Rick sees his role as that of “translator” of indigenous ways so that mainstream-educated people get the full benefit of these ways. It has taken him years of dedicated interaction with many Elders\, as well as his activities as ceremonial leader to get to this place in his life.\nDress comfortably\, bring hydrating drink\, lunch\, and floor cushion (if you like.)
